Derek leaves for Michigan

Derek left on July 1st to head to Michigan for 3 months. It was very hard to say goodbye!! He made his 2000 mile trip in just 2 days. He is trying to find an orthopedic surgery residency that will accept him. We are so proud of him. It takes a lot of courage to go across the country alone and go for something you really want. No matter what happens he has done so well. Who would have thought we would have come this far!!
