I got into my last class!
The other day I just thought I would check to see if there were any openings for the Biology class I couldn't get into and just then one showed up for the time slot that would work for us so I hurried and signed up. I am relieved. It's going to be a busy semester with 13 credits but then I won't have to take so many classes this summer. I am aiming for the Dental Hygiene program and will be able to apply next spring for the Fall of 09. That would have me graduated in May of 2011 which is Derek's graduation date also. I am hoping this plan works out so that I can work during his residency and help supplement our income. $40,000 a year during residency is hard to live on! At least I will have a great tutor!

Back To School
This week I started taking some college classes. I was able to get back into three of my courses. There was only one instructor that wouldn't budge. So, on Tuesday and Thursday for 5 hours I am in Chemistry, Precalculus and Speech. I am really scared about the math class since it has been about 13 years since I have done that kind of math. I am older than all of the students and the teacher in my speech class which was a little weird. But, so far I think it will be kind of fun.

Hannah Montana!!

Tonight the kids and I went to the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana concert. It was a lot of fun. Even her dad Billy Ray came out at the end to sing with her. Aly and AJ opened for her. It was fun to see the girls rockin out. Jerrod kept it pretty cool. The tickets said no cameras so I didn't bring one and then they didn't even check to see if we had one so everybody else had cameras. Dang it. Here is one that I got with my phone.Happy Birthday Derek!

Jerrod's Dare Graduation
This is Jerrod with Officer Rico and Steve Schorr who is the person the school is named after. He announced to the kids that his friend, the Governor is coming to visit the school in a couple of weeks. Mr. Schorr is the V.P. of Cox Communications. He used to be a newscaster here in Las Vegas so everyone who has lived here for a while knows him.

Ava Rides Her Bike and Scooter
For all of you that are buried in snow, I am sorry to show you that we are playing outside. It has been nice here. I think we are going to have to live down south forever. The pictures we've seen of the snow don't look fun.
