Enjoying Summer with Friends
We wanted to make sure and get together with some of our friends before they all went their separate ways for their audition rotations. We met one night at the park for dinner and made smores and then the next day ate leftovers by the pool at Jamie's house. Summer went way too fast especially since we only had a little while to be together!

Piano Recital
In June Allison, Jerrod and Emma had their violin recital at the church. Everyone played a hymn or church song. They did so good. Allison played Love Is Spoken Here, Jerrod played We Thank Thee oh God For a Prophet which gave me chills and Emma played When I am Baptized. I am so glad they are learning how to play!

Ava's Preschool Graduation
The beginning of June, Ava graduated from her daycare's preschool program. I was so excited when they asked us to come back and be a part of it since my schooling had ended and Ava had been home with me. It was very cute. They sang some songs, and they all stood up and told everyone what they wanted to be when they grew up. Since Ava hadn't been there practicing with them she was too shy to do it. Then, she went to get her diploma and went to go sit down and she mustered up all her courage and said "Hi, my name is Ava and when I grow up I want to be a princess". Of course I had just turned off the camcorder and missed it!! She had the greatest teacher, Ms. Alyssa. I can't believe she is going to be in kindergarten!

This is where she told everyone her part. Look how red her face is. She was so nervous!

Pink Pinewood Derby
In May the activity day girls in our ward held a Pink Pinewood Derby. It was so fun. I have to say it was way more exciting than any boy one I had been to. Luckily Derek was on vacation so he had time to design two cars. They decided they wanted to do VW Bugs. Emma named hers Lily Pad and Allison named hers Herbie. Although they were by far the cutest cars there of course, they were definitely not the fastest. Oh well. Cuteness is what counts in a pink pinewood derby anyway..right?

Emma's bug had some wheel issues so it was pretty slow as you can tell from this picture above.
