Hannah Montana!!

Tonight the kids and I went to the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana concert. It was a lot of fun. Even her dad Billy Ray came out at the end to sing with her. Aly and AJ opened for her. It was fun to see the girls rockin out. Jerrod kept it pretty cool. The tickets said no cameras so I didn't bring one and then they didn't even check to see if we had one so everybody else had cameras. Dang it. Here is one that I got with my phone.

Happy Birthday Derek!

Yesterday was Derek's 32nd birthday. We surprised him by having the windows tinted in his car since he has all black interior in it. Since we moved down south he has suffered through a HOT car. I also got him a set of scriptures since his old set has been missing pages for a few years!

Jerrod's Dare Graduation

Yesterday, we got to go to watch Jerrod graduate from DARE. They had to write an essay a few weeks ago and the DARE officer picked one winning essay from each 5th grade class. Jerrod was the winning essay writer in his class so he got to read it in front of the crowd. Here is his speech. He talked kind of soft so you might have to turn up the volume.

This is Jerrod with Officer Rico and Steve Schorr who is the person the school is named after. He announced to the kids that his friend, the Governor is coming to visit the school in a couple of weeks. Mr. Schorr is the V.P. of Cox Communications. He used to be a newscaster here in Las Vegas so everyone who has lived here for a while knows him.

For all of you that are buried in snow, I am sorry to show you that we are playing outside. It has been nice here. I think we are going to have to live down south forever. The pictures we've seen of the snow don't look fun.

So Frustrating.........

Today I logged into the College of Southern Nevada's website to print out my class schedule for this semester. I have been registered since November. When I logged in it showed that I wasn't registered for any classes. Thinking it was some horrible mistake I called and asked about it and they said that the deadline for payment was last Thursday and anyone who didn't pay for their classes got purged! So, even though I am waiting for financial aid to come through and classes don't even start for two weeks I am not registered for anything and most everything I had on my schedule is now full. I have never heard of a school doing this. Most of them might have a late fee but I never have heard of them unregistering their students. So, I am trying to find any open classes that are on the same days and make it work. Ugh.!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun at the Park

Yesterday was a pretty nice day so we all went to the park so that Jerrod could fly his new air hog he got from grandma and Papa Crouch. I was having fun with my new camera. Here are a few shots.
