Laguna Beach

We took a short trip to Laguna Beach in California. We all needed a break. Derek had 8 tests last week and with our hectic schedules we needed some R&R. It was a lot of fun, even though I had to study Pharmacology on the beach. The water was cold but I think our Lake Tahoe genes kicked in because the kids played in it anyway. Can't wait to go again!!

These were the steps to get to 1000 steps beach. They were long! But, we pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.

Ava's Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Ava's preschool class had an Easter egg hunt last week. They had lots of fun!

Emma's 8th Birthday

Emma turned 8 on the 6th. We had a day of celebration. It started by me taking the big kids plus Emma's friend Kaitlyn miniature golfing and to Nielsen's Frozen custard for an ice cream cone. We went to Famous Dave's for dinner so the birthday girl could have ribs and then came home for cake and ice cream. Thanks everyone for the cards and gifts.

Petapalooza

Last Saturday we took the kids and the furry kids aka Ginger and Rusty to Petapalooza. It was a lot of fun. We got to see The Script, Mat Kearney and Gavin Rossdale in concert. The kids got front row seats to the concerts and had a great time getting their faces painted and getting balloon hats. Emma loves The Script so she was excited!

Emma's Birthday Treats

Since Emma's birthday was at the beginning of Spring Break we took treats in on Friday. We made easter egg cake pops. They were a big hit. All the kids said they wished I had brought enough for them to have two.
